Remember any information may be used against you when you are negotiating for your next place to call home. When selecting your REALTOR®, establish what type of relationship or representative they will be before disclosing any information.

In a real estate transaction, several relationship types may apply. The relationship you have with a REALTOR® will decide the responsibilities your real estate agent may provide.

A buyer's agent, seller's agent, dual agent, or designated agent in North Carolina(NC) are types of agency that can apply in a real estate transaction. The state of NC requires a real estate agent to provide and review a disclosure with the buyer title "Working With Real Estate Agents Disclosure" is not a contract.

REALTOR® will inform buyers not to disclose confidential information before entering into an agreement that confirms representation.

"Working With Real Estate Agents" disclosure will inform the buyers about the types of agencies the buyer should receive the information from an agent at the first substantial contact; please note that the first contact is often during an open house.
